Our client found a new space for their San Francisco office in the heart of the financial district. Located in an unconventional building with an enormous circular floor plate, the space had an unusually deep amount of interior support spaces to plan, with little ability to have natural light at the core of the floorplate.
In response to this, wood veneer walls were used to contrast the dramatic views and expansive light at communal spaces along the perimeter, such as the reception and lobby. The balance of the space is a study in whites. Keeping a palette simple, pure and light made the interior workstations and offices feel organized and bright. And the client’s extensive art collection was significantly expanded and was used thru-out the space to mark interior view vistas and as elegant way finders.
“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.
